Hash calculator

Use this tool to calculate hashes with various algorithms.

Use this tool to convert any string to a hash. You can choose from SHA512, SHA1, MD5 and more.
A hash function is simply a function which takes any kind of input and converts it to a fixed length hash value.
Hashes are mostly used by applications to validate if specific user input (e.g. a password) is correct. A hash can NOT be converted back to its original value (only by using brute force or rainbow tables).
Note! MD5 and SHA1 are considered obsolete, they are only added to this site for convenience. Do not use these algorithms to hash your users passwords!
